TERMS AND CONDITIONSWharfedale Lodge is not to be confused with a bunk barn as the Lodge is furnished to a higher standard with twin bedrooms and hotel standard lounges. We would kindly ask that the lodge is not used as a young persons "party venue" and that guests are respectful of the quiet and peaceful surroundings. We permit the consumption of alcohol on the premises however groups who take this to excess may be asked to leave. The non returnable booking deposit of £300 is required within 7 days of an initial booking being accepted. Failure to return the booking form and deposit within 7 days will result in the booking being lost. (Receipts will not be issued unless asked for). BUSINESS USERS will be issued with an invoice which is payable within 30 days and in any event full payment must be received no later than 7 days prior to arrival unless agreed otherwise. The balance outstanding is payable one calendar month prior to the date of your stay. (Please note that the booking will be lost in the event of a late payment of this balance). Groups will be required to include a returnable £250 damage / compliance deposit with their balance outstanding payment. This will be returned within one week of departure provided the premises are left clean, tidy and in good order. Please also note that a failure to comply with any of the terms and conditions may result in the loss in part or whole of this deposit the amount of which will be determined by the owners. We do not permit more than 20 persons, (including children and babies) to use / hire the building and associated grounds, (no further outside guests or visitors permitted). Please note our building is not ideally suited to large numbers of children and we would ask that 9 is the maximum in your group. Children must be supervised both inside the building and outside in the grounds at all times during your stay. We do not accept bookings from or for persons under 25 years of age or for hen, stag, student or youth group visits unless nationally recognised. We do not accept birthday party bookings unless it is a mixed age family gathering. The property is not to be re-hired to a third party and BUSINESS USERS must obtain prior agreement to invite outside team building / trainers / activity providers onto the premises and grounds. Arrival and departure times are 4pm and 11am respectively. Earlier arrivals or later departures may be pre-arranged at a cost of £35 per hour. Please note that late departures that have not been paid for will result in a forfeit of the compliance deposit. BUSINESS USERS can arrive anytime after 7am on the day of arrival and leave anytime up to 5pm on the day of departure provided that this has been agreed with beforehand. (If the business group departure day is on a Friday the latest departure will be 12pm as we will have another group arriving at 4pm the same day). Linen - We provide pillows, pillow cases and duvets however you need to bring your own duvet covers and single bed sheets. These can however be hired with advanced notice at a cost of £5 per person. These will be left in the main entrance for you to put on the required beds. (You need to bring your own towels). BUSINESS USERS will be provided with all bed linen which is included in the price however delegates nee to bring their own bath towels. The building has central heating and hot water between the hours of 0650 x 1100hrs and 1500 x 2330hrs. (These times may differ slightly between winter and summer). BUSINESS USERS will have extended daytime heating. Dogs / Pets are strictly not allowed in the building / grounds or vehicles therein. Please do not move any furniture inside the lodge or outside in the grounds, (tables, chairs, beds garden benches, etc) without prior arrangement. Outside caterers may be permitted but this must be with advance notification and prior agreement with Wharfedale Lodge. Caterers must be in possession of their own insurance. Smoking and the use of candles, fireworks, confetti and silly string is not permitted. We are unable to accept any motor homes, camper vans, caravans and tents at the lodge or grounds. Any lost property must be claimed and collected within a period of one month. The premises should be left clean and tidy after use and you are responsible for any damage caused during your stay. Groups and individuals visiting / using the building and grounds do so at their own risk. The owners cannot accept responsibility for injuries to visitors or loss or damage to vehicles or personal property whilst on the premises or associated land and your payment is received as confirmation that you agree to these terms and conditions.
